CALL FOR TENORS
Fourth Coast Ensemble is currently accepting audition materials from tenors interested in joining the ensemble. Based in Chicago, IL, Fourth Coast Ensemble specializes in the performance of art song and vocal chamber music from Romantic to Contemporary, with a core membership of 1 soprano, 1 mezzo-soprano, 1 tenor, and 1 bass-baritone.
As a member of the four-voice, artist-led vocal chamber ensemble, you are provided with an annual contract, concert performance stipends, and quarterly administrative stipend. In the 2018–19 season, ensemble members averaged $5,000-$6,000.
Fourth Coast Ensemble performs an average of 12 concerts per season, consisting of approximately 8 self-produced performances in Chicago and surrounding suburbs, 2-5 runout performances as guest artists on concert series' across the Upper Midwest, and additional education and outreach appearances.
Both Chicago residents and non-residents are encouraged to apply. However, serious candidates should be prepared to relocate to Chicago.
2019 Tenor Application Process
Applications must be submitted electronically by April 1, 2019.
Finalists selected for a live audition will be notified by April 8, 2019.
Live auditions will take place between April 15-May 31, 2019.
